Wythe County Community Hospital Welcomes Dr. Jennifer Davis, Expanding Access to Obstetric Services
August 04, 2026
WYTHEVILLE VA – August 2026 - Wythe County Community Hospital (WCCH) is pleased to announce that Dr. Jennifer Davis, MD, MPH, will be joining the WCCH team, helping to expand access to obstetric services for patients and families across Wythe County and surrounding Southwest Virginia communities.
Dr. Davis brings a strong background in rural health, family medicine, and obstetrics, helping WCCH continue to meet the growing need for comprehensive women’s health services close to home. Her addition strengthens the hospital’s ability to support patients throughout pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum care, improving access and continuity for local families.
Dr. Davis recently completed her residency at Texas A&M Family Medicine Residency, where she trained in an advanced surgical obstetrics track, along with additional experience in endoscopy and sports medicine. Her clinical training emphasizes full-spectrum family medicine with a strong focus on obstetric care and rural communities.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine from East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine, where she was part of the Rural Primary Care Track, and also completed a Master of Public Health in Community Health, further supporting her patient-centered, community-focused approach to care.
Dr. Davis’s areas of interest and clinical focus include:
- Obstetrics and prenatal care
- Women’s health and gynecology
- Rural and community-based healthcare
- Preventive and family medicine
- Endoscopic and procedural care
Dr. Davis is also active in professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians and the National Rural Health Association and has been recognized for her commitment to rural health and family medicine.
“We are proud to welcome Dr. Davis to Wythe County Community Hospital,” said Theresa Dix, CEO of WCCH. “Her background in rural health and obstetrics aligns closely with the needs of our community. By expanding access to these essential services, we are helping ensure that more families can receive high-quality care close to home.”
“I am passionate about providing accessible, compassionate care to women and families, especially in rural communities,” said Dr. Davis. “I look forward to building relationships with patients in the Wytheville area and supporting them through every stage of care, from preventive health to pregnancy and beyond.”
