John Liu, MD

Dr. John S. Liu, MD, a highly skilled urologist at Urology of Virginia in Virginia Beach, has been practicing since 1997. He completed his urologic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, after first training in general surgery at the same institution. Dr. Liu earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Duke University, where he graduated cum laude. He is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Liu maintains active medical licenses in Virginia and North Carolina. His extensive research involvement includes studies on prostate cancer, interstitial cystitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, kidney stones, and overactive bladder, collaborating with renowned pharmaceutical companies.
