Wythe County Community Hospital Welcomes Pulmonologist to Wytheville
April 17, 2025Wythe County Community Hospital announced that Oscar Figueroa, M.D. has joined Wythe Physician Practices in Wytheville. Dr. Figueroa is a pulmonary and board-certified critical care specialist who has a focus on general pulmonary diseases, COPD, asthma, smoking cessation, lung cancer screening and prevention. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Cayetano Heredia University in Lima, Peru. He also completed his internal medicine residency and pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio.

Sharitz is a physician assistant who independently manages acute and chronic conditions, collects medical history, performs physical exam and determines and executes the appropriate level of treatment.
